‘Give a man fish’ feeds him a day and ‘Teach a man to fish’ feeds him for a lifetime. However, successful development assistance begins, not with giving fish or teaching how to fish, but rather than with understanding whether this person wants to fish. We believe that the key to sustainable development is to listen carefully and to understand the true needs and interests of communities. Therefore, we have invested a lot of time in this first stage to transit and transform socio-economic developments in the Rakhine region.
